Systems Metabolic Engineering of Yeast to Produce Fatty Acid-Derived Chemicals
报告人简介：Dr. Xueyang Feng (Assistant Professor, Virginia Tech) has 8 years of research experience in metabolic engineering, systems biology, and synthetic biology. Dr. Feng got his Ph.D. in 2012 from Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis (WUSTL). Before joining Virginia Tech, Dr. Feng worked as postdoctoral fellow at Energy Biosciences Institute (EBI) at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) for two years. Dr. Feng’s research focus at Virginia Tech is analyzing and engineering microorganisms via systems and synthetic biology approaches for bioenergy and biochemical production. Dr. Feng’s research was featured in numerous public media highlights and was published in 40 peer-reviewed journals, including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Metabolic Engineering, and Journal of Biological Chemistry.
